About Thermal Imaging

Infrared Thermal Imaging (IR) is quite possibly, the most important technology to be utilized in the Residential, Commercial and Industrial inspection profession today. In the hands of Certified & Experienced Thermographers, this instrument allows us to detect items which would have normally gone undetected through a standard visual inspection. The ability to detect temperature differences across surface areas gives the clues to any underlying anomalies.

Moisture and Insulation problems in walls, roofs and ceilings. Electrical Hot Spots, such as defective breakers, switches and fuses are commonly found, as well as loose connections and faulty wiring. Building Envelope anomalies that generate significant heat loss and excessive energy costs for buildings. Commonly referred to as Energy Audits, IR scans show us where we are wasting our precious energy resources and hard earned dollars.

Moisture and condensation often go hand-in-hand with air leaks in a structure, as air can provide a means for moisture to travel. Moisture, if not properly remedied, can lead to building damage, reduced insulation effectiveness and mold. Thermal imagers are very effective tools for identifying moisture.
